Research on side-wall boundary layer three dimensional effect in airfoil testing with adaptive wall wind tunnel

  • In two dimensional airfoil tests for models mounted on the side wall turn table may introduce three dimensional side wall boundary layer effects.CAE and DLR had done a cooperative research on this topic by calculating and measuring method to research the condition of three dimensional boundary layer effects on side wall.This paper describes the work that had been carried out since 1995~1998,including the research object and strategy,calculating method,tests in KRG for verifying and the analysis of the results as well as the primary conclusion.
